EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Technobox currently has an opening for the following:

Electronics Inventory Material Control Specialist

Applicants should submit a resume via fax (609-261-1011)  or
e-mail employment@technobox.com .

Description

The “Electronics Material Handler” function at Technobox is a multifaceted job involving the physical handling of circuit boards produced by Technobox. It also includes tracking the manufacturing of the circuit boards as represented in the computer-based inventory system.

Day-to-day activities can vary greatly, according to the workload flow at the moment, but a typical day of work might include receiving and inspecting incoming components, receiving boards from assembly subcontractor and making corresponding adjustments to the inventory count, testing electronic assemblies for correct operation, staging and packaging assemblies for shipment, pulling components from the inventory to present to the assembly subcontractor, and generating documentation and labels associated with these activities.

The employee will work closely with one other Electronics Material Handler (working at Technobox for 5 years now) who has similar responsibilities.  It is expected that the employee will work cooperatively with this person to establish daily work responsibilities and routines.

Requirements

     High School Graduate
Personal Computer skills with Microsoft Windows
Ability to handle small items for count, packaging, and inspection
Good organizational skills and ability to keep things up to date and accurate
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to handle a multiplicity of tasks with interruptions

Work Environment

A desk area in the kitting/inventory area is provided.   A networked Personal Computer is positioned on the desk along with a local laser printer, label printer, and inspection camera.   The employee will have access to other areas of the facility for testing, packaging, inventory control, and meetings.

Technobox is a small office environment with several dedicated and focused employees and the “culture” here at Technobox is one of gaining enjoyment and satisfaction out of doing the work at hand rather than routine interaction with coworkers, although both casual and business discussions between coworkers is encouraged and transpires regularly throughout the day.

There is minimal “management structure” here at the Company, and everyone is expected to participate in their assigned roles in order to facilitate the operation of the business.

Duration

This is a full time hourly-paid (non-exempt) 35 to 40 hr a week job, and it is expected the employee will work typically somewhere between the hours of 7 AM to 6 PM with an unpaid half hour to one hour lunch break.  Specific lunch times and durations are not critical.  Specific starting and ending times is per the convenience of the employee at the approval of the Company, but it is expected the employee will be present at least from 9 AM to 4 PM each working day.

Overtime (beyond 40 hrs) is paid at 1.5x rate but it is unlikely that this job will require much overtime involvement.

The employee can bring in lunch.  Alternatively, Shoprite’s lunch bar, Subway, and Wawa is a short walk to the shopping center across the street.  Also, there are many local restaurants for those times the employee wishes to go out to lunch with coworkers or friends.

Employee Qualities

Ability to handle small components with dexterity, accuracy, and in an organized way is an absolute must for this job.  Visual acuity for inspection both with the unaided eye and under a microscope or inspection camera is required.  This person routinely does counting by weighing, length, and physical count throughout the day.  Using the computer inventory system with an operational “understanding” of what is transpiring is mandatory.

A “get it done” attitude with no procrastination is required to avoid stacking up of the workload.

Summary of Responsibilities

     1. Receive and unpack incoming component shipments.
     2. Inspect incoming components for correct part number, quantity and visual quality.
     3. Record incoming component shipments in the inventory database.
     4. Identify and manage the location of components in the physical inventory.
     5. Pull physical inventory to form “kits” sent over to the assembly subcontractor.
     6. Print computer documents to track and label kit contents.
     7. Generate labels to be placed on finished assemblies, such as serial number labels.
     8. Package components in an ESD (static safe) and hermetically sealed manner.
     9. Receive incoming finished assemblies from the assembly subcontractor and record
their construction in the inventory system.
    10. Test electronic assemblies as required by following written test procedures.
    11. Document and track circuit board configuration per customer orders.
    12. Pull finished goods from inventory and stage/package for customer shipment.
    13. Resolve inventory count discrepancies as they arise.
    14. Bind product manuals for shipment.
