The
Technobox Micro Mezzanine System™ (MMS) is based on a
simple idea -- provide a flexible architecture that allows
designers to create customized, board-level I/O solutions using
off-the-shelf
modular components that can be assembled in virtually
thousands of combinations. An architecture that would allow a
designer to construct unique,
obsolescence-proof solutions, using a common set of
components - without the traditional costs and lead times for
product development/delivery cycles.
Using MMS, a designer can immediately define
a board and move rapidly from
prototype to production, building a solution from a
range of
FPGA-based carrier
boards and an extensive variety of 1 1/4 - inch square micro
mezzanine Electrical Conversion Modules
(ECMs).
For example, one might build a PMC solution around a 16K LE FPGA
plus 8-channel A/D conversion ECMs … plus
RS232 and RS422 I/O. Or maybe a more complex version using a 70K
FPGA.
Easy as 1, 2, 3!
Development couldn't be easier. And the MMS
architecture itself can be extended and enhanced with new
carriers and ECMs being added as necessary or as requested.

Because these are system solutions, we will review your selections and contact you to discuss the
intended application.
We do this to verify suitability of the chosen MMS solution
-- particularly the carrier and ECMs -- making sure that the chosen components
will meet the intended application.
If you choose to configure a new MMS solution,
we will assign a unique orderable top assembly
part number (P/N) for
continuity and convenience
The assigned P/N subsumes all the elements of the the complete
MMS configuration --- the carrier, chosen ECM(s), ECM locations, and
the IP --- for future reference.
Even if you select an exsiting P/N, any change in IP will
require assignment of a new P/N to identify the newer
configuration.
Please note that IP is a critical consideration, and, depending
on the complexity of the IP effort, charges may apply.
By employing
unique P/Ns, you are not only assured that
hardware is properly assembled, you can be certain that IP will
be installed to match the assembly and provide the desired I/O
control functions.
And, finally, if you want to employ your own IP,
we will assign a unique P/N for the hardware to prevent confusion with any
similar MMS solution.
