The Technobox 7974 XMC Socket Saver is designed to be installed on a VITA 61 (XMC 2.0) site on a carrier or host board to preserve the site's connectors from wear. In addition to its principal function of preserving the XMC connectors on a carrier or host, the device can also be used to slightly elevate an XMC. For hybrid cards with both XMC and PMC connectors, see Technobox P/N 5239 - XMC Socket Saver with VITA 42 connectors plus full complement of PMC connectors. or Technboox P/N 7648 - XMC Socket Saver with both P15 and P16 VITA 61 (XMC 2.0) connectors and all PMC connectors.
